By accessing and using heictoimg.com ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

heictoimg.com provides a free browser-based file conversion utility for converting HEIC (High Efficiency Image Container) files to JPG, PNG, or WebP formats. The conversion process occurs within your web browser using WebAssembly technology — the image files you select are not uploaded to heictoimg.com servers for conversion.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

• Use the Service only for lawful purposes
• Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or exploit the Service
• Not use automated systems or bots to access the Service in a manner that exceeds reasonable use
• Ensure you have the rights to convert any files you process
• Check any third-party upload requirements before submitting converted files elsewhere

4. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by heictoimg.com. You retain all rights to your own files and converted images. We claim no ownership or rights over any content you process.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that converted files will meet your specific requirements.

heictoimg.com does not guarantee that converted files will be accepted by any third-party website, form, school, employer, marketplace, passport or visa process, government service, or other institution.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, heictoimg.com shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

7. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

Our Privacy Commitment

Your privacy is fundamental to heictoimg.com. We built this tool with a privacy-first architecture: the image files you select are processed in your browser and are not uploaded to heictoimg.com servers for conversion.

Image File Data We Don't Receive

During normal conversion, we do not receive, store, or have access to:

• Your image files (originals or converted)
• Image file names
• Image contents, previews, or private metadata
• Account data (we have no accounts or signups)

How Conversion Works

When you select a file, our WebAssembly-based converter processes it directly in your browser. The original file is read locally, converted in memory, and the result is saved to your device. The selected image file is not uploaded to heictoimg.com servers for conversion.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand page-level site usage. This analytics is separate from image conversion and does not require uploading your image files. It may collect aggregate page and browser information such as:

• Pages visited
• Referrer and country-level usage information
• Browser, device, and performance information
• Aggregate usage trends

Local Storage

We use your browser's local storage to remember interface preferences such as theme selection and preferred language. This preference data stays in your browser and is separate from the image files you convert.

Advertising and Third-Party Services

The Service may include advertisements in the future. Before ads are displayed, this policy will be updated with AdSense and advertising disclosures. Ad partners may use cookies or similar technologies under their own policies, but user image files will remain excluded from upload-based conversion tracking.

Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Your Rights

Because selected image files are not uploaded to heictoimg.com servers for conversion, we do not have those files to access, correct, or delete. For privacy questions, contact support@heictoimg.com.
